Full Tour Itinerary:
This spring Wellington welcomes the most visited multi-sensory experience in the world to New Zealand. A digitally lit exhibition of the masterpieces of Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh.
And in a world-first, the exhibition will be shown outside, under the stars. Using state-of-the-art SENSORY4 technology, van Gogh’s jaw-droppingly vivid paintings will be projected onto shipping containers at an enormous 8 metre-high scale as you walk through the exhibition.
3,000 images will synchronise with an evocative classical music score designed to make it seem like you’re immersed in the artist’s work. Vincent’s most famous paintings including The Starry Night and Sunflowers as well as his renowned self portraits are presented in hyper-fine detail and monumental scale allowing you to revel in van Gogh’s legendary brushwork. Surrounded by a vibrant symphony of light, colour and sound, it’s as if you’re literally walking into the artists’ world.
